
Join us for this magnificent walk of discovery through the Wiltshire landscape. Journey through glorious flower filled woods, explore the site where Stonehenge's sarsen stones were excavated and journey through ancient surroundings to visit Avebury's stone circles and the nearby 'River of Stones'.

Difficulty - Moderate/Hard
This walk has little elevation and follows tracks and footpaths. However the walk is fairly long.

Starting in the nearby town of Amesbury, journey through stunning countryside packed with wildlife and ancient burial sites, to the UNESCO world heritage site of Stonehenge. Continue along the ceremonial avenue and visit the Kings Barrows and their white Beech trees before returning to Amesbury.
Please note that the price does not include entry to the Stonehenge site. The walk takes you to within 20 meters of the stone circle, where we will stop for lunch. Tickets for entry to the Stonehenge site can be purchased online prior to your walk and anyone in the group is welcome to tour the site during lunch.
