1. If YOU (the Client) Cancel:
More than 4 weeks notice: Full refund (minus a small £5 administration fee to cover Stripe's non-refundable processing charges).
2 to 4 weeks notice: 50% refund.
Less than 14 days notice: No refund.
Why? At this stage, I have committed to the walk, turned away other bookings, and potentially paid for permits or logistics.
2. If I (the Guide) Cancel:
Weather/Safety: If I decide the conditions are unsafe (e.g., extreme wind on the coast or red-alert heat), you will be offered a full refund or a free transfer to a new date.
Under-subscription: If a group walk doesn't meet the minimum numbers (usually 3-4 people), I will notify you at least 7 days in advance for a full refund or reschedule.
3. The "No-Show" Rule:
If you are late or miss the start of the walk, no refund will be given. The group will start at the designated time to ensure everyone else gets their full experience.
We strongly recommend you take out inexpensive domestic travel insurance to cover your costs if you have to cancel due to illness or travel disruption.
